Description

Managing the financial aspects of a trucking company, including managing expenses, processing invoices, handling payroll, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Job duties:

  • Financial Record Management: Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. 
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, including fuel tax reporting. 
  • Cost Analysis: Analyzing logistics costs and expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities. 
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitoring cash flow, expenses, and budget allocations. 
  • Risk Management: Identifying and helping mitigate financial and operational risks. 
  • Financial Reporting: Generating financial reports for decision-making and analysis. 
  • Tax Compliance: Assisting with tax preparations and filings. 
  • Audit Support: Supporting internal and external audits. 
  • Payroll Processing: Managing payroll for drivers, including owner-operator settlements. 
  • Expense Tracking: Maintaining records of fuel, maintenance, tolls, and other trucking-related expenses.
